# Why Do I Feel So Betrayed?

Feeling betrayed can pierce the heart deeply, leaving us questioning and hurting. Betrayal wounds because it often comes from those we trust. However, the Bible provides wisdom and comfort to help us navigate these painful emotions.

## Understanding Betrayal in Scripture

The Bible is not silent about betrayal. Jesus Himself was betrayed by one of His closest companions, Judas. In Matthew 26:14-16, Judas agrees to betray Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. Yet, Jesus, knowing what was to come, faced this with grace and love. This reminds us that betrayal is not unknown to God.

## Finding Hope and Healing

1. Turn to God in Prayer: When you feel betrayed, pour out your heart to God. He is your refuge and strength. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

2. Embrace Forgiveness: While challenging, forgiveness is freeing. Jesus taught us to forgive others as He forgave us. This doesn’t mean ignoring the hurt but releasing it to God, trusting Him to heal.

3. Seek Community: Surround yourself with supportive, faith-filled friends or a church community. They can pray with you and offer encouragement. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us to "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."

4. Focus on Christ’s Love: Remember that Jesus' love is steadfast, even when others let us down. He promises, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).

## Conclusion

Betrayal hurts, but through Christ, we find hope and healing. Lean on Him, forgive as He forgives, and seek loving community. Trust that God is working in your heart to bring about peace and restoration.
